1960's
The ownership begins a part-time machining business out of a Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio basement.
1967
National Machine Company is incorporated.
1972
National Machine Company moves to Industrial Park in Stow, Ohio. It still operates from this location today.
The "Valve Room" is created. For the first time, National Machine Company can offer machining as well as assembly and testing."
1986
National Machine Company acquires Building 3 in Stow, Ohio.
National Machine Company begins production of Matco Tools.
1987
National Aviation is founded in Tempe, Arizona. The original building occupies 5100 square feet.
1992 - 2001
National Machine Group® acquires Rivnut Engineered Products. During these 9 years of ownership, NMC restructures and more than doubles Company sales.
1995
Building 1, the main facility of National Machine Company operations, burns to the ground in a devastating fire. The estimated cost of damages: $6.3 Million.
2004
Machining capabilities are established in India (4th Quarter)
2005
National Machine Company earns ISO9001:2000 and AS9100 certification.
National Machine Company is designated as an FAA (MIDO) approved repair and overhaul station, allowing for FAA Direct Ship to end users.
Global sourcing efforts are initiated in Mexico. The establishment of offshore machining capabilities in a low-cost country marks the progression of National Machine Company's Supply Chain Management and expands its ability to better serve its customers.
2008
Construction begins on an additional 25,000 square feet in Stow, Ohio.
National Aviation in Tempe, Arizona relocates to a 50,000 square foot building. National Machine Group® now occupies five building that cover 200,000 square feet in two states.
